Tradition and the modern age at Axpo’s headquarters in Baden

Axpo’s Baden location is equipped with ultramodern workspaces. Our headquarters comprise two registered buildings that date from the company’s beginnings, several modern office buildings as well as a protected infrastructure for the network control centre, which is linked to all of Europe. We are proud of our roots in Baden and our more than 100 years of existence.

 

Baden in brief:

  • Centrally located with access to public transportation: 15 minutes from Zurich’s main station
  • Casino Baden, with a restaurant and parking, is right across from Axpo headquarters and invites you to linger during breaks.
  • Culture: The Kurtheater Baden and a variety of museums offer appealing programmes and exhibitions.
  • Thermal baths: Baden is the city of baths. It offers a large choice of special baths (e.g. the "Thermalbank" footbath).
  • Shopping: Shop in the attractive old city or at the Baden main station.
  • Landmarks: Baden city tower. Stein Castle offers a beautiful view over Baden.
  • Culinary delights: "Spanische Brötli" (Spanish buns) and "Badener Stein" (chocolate sweets)

Getting started with Axpo

As a Swiss energy company with strong local roots and an international presence, Axpo offers you the best conditions for getting an energetic start in a successful and exciting professional environment.

First day of work and introduction

  • A short tour will provide you with useful and valuable information that you can use later on your own to get oriented. You’ll also get to meet other new employees and can expand your Axpo network. During the first few months you can expect an individual introductory course.

  • A highlight is the introductory seminar with our CEO, Andrew Walo. This seminar introduces the Axpo business fields. In addition to important information on your new employer, you’ll experience our power plants and network control centre firsthand.

The first year

  • Our branch training course is called "Axpo College". Here you’ll learn all about electricity production and distribution, trading and marketing customer solutions.

  • At our "Lunch & Learn" lunchtime events you’ll learn more about current topics at Axpo and expand your Axpo network.
