Axpo Kompogas

We make the best of your organic waste.

Tailor-made solutions for:

Municipalities

Axpo Kompogas disposes of cuttings and leftover food on behalf of municipalities, recycling it sustainably and using it to generate renewable energy and high-quality fertiliser.

About one-third of household waste is organic, allowing it to be put to good, sustainable use in the Kompogas plants. Fermenting biomass offers a whole host of advantages over burning or composting.

We close the ecological cycle and convert biowaste into renewable energy and high-quality fertiliser.

Axpo Kompogas has been operating its eponymous biogas plants in Switzerland for over 20 years. Municipalities can benefit from our knowledge and experience in sustainable biowaste disposal.

We provide services across the entire biowaste disposal spectrum and find the perfect solution for municipalities at every stage of the process, from selecting the charging model and organising collections through to managing collection and composting facilities and making use of the high-quality products at the end of the process.

Our specialists will be happy to provide you with information and expert advice as you move towards a resource-based management approach.

Horticulturists

Nutrients for orcharding and gardening

There is a wide array of uses for the high-quality compost products from our Kompogas plants. Use the composition, application and properties to decide which natural fertiliser will improve the health of your plants.

Industry

Axpo Kompogas disposes of biowaste from industry and the catering trade, recycling it sustainably and using it to generate renewable energy and high-quality fertiliser.

The catering trade and any industry that works with foodstuffs generate biowaste. By having this organic waste fermented, companies are doing a great deal to help recycle materials and protect the environment.

Industrial enterprises also gain added benefits from fermenting their biowaste.

Added environmental value

Companies in the industrial and catering sector that have their organic waste products fermented are supporting a form of biowaste recycling that makes economic and environmental sense – thus generating sustainable added value for themselves and their customers.

Reducing greenhouse gas levels

Fermentation does not release any CO2 or methane into the atmosphere. Companies in the industrial and catering sector that have their organic waste products fermented are thus making an active contribution to reducing greenhouse gas levels.

Axpo Kompogas has been working together with industrial enterprises for over 20 years, helping them to find the best possible solutions for recycling their biowaste.

Our specialists will be happy to provide you with information and expert advice as you move towards a resource-based management approach.
