What exactly is it like at Axpo? How do the people enjoy working for us? What motivates them? Read what employees think of working for Axpo, what they find particularly challenging and what they enjoy.

Roman von Siebenthal, Head of Forward Trading, Business & Sales Division:

What I like about Axpo AG is that on the one hand, the company has an atmosphere of great stability and permanence, but at the same time it encourages dynamic growth.

I work in an environment in which people deal with each other in a professional, friendly manner and with a high level of expert knowledge.

The electricity industry operates in an incredibly exciting, challenging market environment that is continuing to grow, and one that offers vast opportunities for a company like Axpo AG that has a sound asset base.

Oskar Kalt, Head of Plant Management, Networks Division

As someone who has worked here for many years, I have lived through a variety of different economic regimes. Over time, I have come to value the stability and consistency of Axpo AG. In addition, the experience employees have gained through years of working here is needed and valued.

A huge range of opportunities for change come up within the company. I have been able to move to new positions within the company three times. The beauty of this has been that, in addition to a change of scene, it gives you the opportunity to further develop the expertise gained in your previous role in the new environment.

Bruno Wettstein, Manager of In-house Personnel, Finance & Services Group

“I like working at Axpo AG because here every staff member is able to utilise and develop his or her individual abilities to the full, in a positive and constructive working atmosphere. The corporate culture lays an emphasis on treating one another respectfully and in a friendly manner, which makes Axpo AG attractive as an employer – and makes my daily working life, with its many and varied challenges, a fulfilling experience.”

Madlen Müller, Network Sales Assistant, Networks Division

My work with Axpo AG is very varied, and each day presents me with new challenges.

All my colleagues are very open and helpful, everybody knows you and says hello … Being greeted in the corridor as you pass shouldn’t be taken for granted, and I personally appreciate that very much. My work environment is very broad, and this has enabled me to gain a fantastic overview of the whole company.

Axpo AG’s terms of employment and working conditions are extremely employee-friendly. There are lots of staff offers, perks, etc. Another very positive thing for me is that parking spaces are provided free of charge. The annual working hours arrangement makes it possible for you to organise your own hours very flexibly.

Wolfgang Denk, Technical Assistant to Head of Nuclear Power Division, Nuclear Power Division

Axpo AG is a modern company, but at the same time one that is steeped in tradition – with its environmentally friendly and cost-effective energy production, the firm has been contributing to the prosperity of Switzerland for almost 100 years. Now, with the planned replacement of nuclear power plants, the burgeoning growth of renewable energies and the opening up of the electricity markets, we are facing huge challenges. On a daily basis, I feel happy to be working with friendly colleagues on exciting projects, and contributing to the future success of Axpo AG.

Stefan Iten, Head of Controlling, Finance & Services Group

I appreciate the interesting and varied work I do with my well-practised team at Axpo AG. In addition, my job offers me plenty of challenges and sufficient scope for my own input.
