Refurbishment of Linth-Limmern

One of the more significant upgrade projects is "Linthal 2015". A new underground pumped storage facility will be used to pump water from Lake Limmern back up to Lake Mutt.

Beznau hydro power station

The plant, which was converted around 1930, exploits the downward flow of the River Aare over a distance of 7.4 km and stands at the end of an artificial headrace. The Aare island which this creates is currently the site of the Beznau nuclear power plant.

Power station on the River Löntsch

The plant, which was converted and overhauled in the 1970s and which has a maximum power output of 60 MW (limited by pressure tunnels) sources water which inflow from a catchment area of over 80 km2 in the area of the Glarus Alps.

Die Kraftwerke Linth-Limmern AG (KLL) haben im Geschäftsjahr 2010/11 einen Jahres-gewinn von 6.316 Mio. CHF erzielt. Die Energieerzeugung fiel mit 403 Mio. kWh leicht geringer aus als im Vorjahr.

Gewinn deutlich gesunken – Axpo trimmt sich fit und plant über 20 Mrd. CHF Investitionen in die Versorgungssicherheit

Der Axpo Konzern muss für das Geschäftsjahr 2010/11 (per 30.9.2011) einen deutlichen Gewinnrückgang ausweisen: Sowohl das Betriebsergebnis (EBIT) von 139 Mio. CHF wie auch das konsolidierte Unternehmensergebnis von 45 Mio. CHF liegen deutlich unter den Vorjahreswerten von 538 Mio. CHF bzw. 409 Mio. CHF.
