High pressure power station in the Anterior Rhine Valley
Kraftwerke Frisal AG owns the Brigels-Tavanasa power station stage which went into operation in 1960 after 2 years construction. Axpo Hydro Surselva AG holds the majority of the share capital in Kraftwerke Frisal AG (80.6%). The other shareholders are aurax ag and five concession authorities.
In addition to the Tavanasa-Obersaxen power station belonging to Axpo Hydro Surselva AG and the Tavanasa power station belonging to Kraftwerke Vorderrhein AG, the Kraftwerke Frisal AG installations are the third power station in Tavanasa. Kraftwerke Frisal AG has an annual mean production of around 54.1 GWh. The reservoir in Breil/Brigels enables some valuable peak energy to be produced.
Managerial and operational responsibility rests with Axpo Hydro Surselva AG.
