IT infrastructure – secure and efficient IT operation for the energy market

The trouble-free operation of the entire IT landscape and applications is ensured in the area of IT infrastructure. Axpo Informatik looks after 5000 clients and over 1000 servers, answers 240 customer queries a day and provides support to 140 customer sites.

Axpo Informatik is responsible for

  • the operation of the group-wide communication network (WAN/LAN)
  • the operational security of the IT systems used
  • ongoing monitoring of systems for ensuring high availability and performance

Furthermore, the Infrastructure section offers the following solutions:

  • Development, design and operation of customer-specific solutions (primarily in the high-availability segment)
  • Analysis, planning and implementation of complex systems for individual requirements
  • Architecture layout for optimized solutions, based on the performance and availability requested by the customer
  • Creating prototypes and compiling feasibility studies commissioned by the customer
  • Hardware, OS, database, tuning and database query analysis & optimization
  • Capacity management and hardware release planning for customer systems

The IT Infrastructure teams work according to ITIL standards, ensuring every day that Axpo Informatik's customers can concentrate on their core business through the use of a state-of-the-art, robust IT environment.
