Safety

Nuclear safety is our #1 priority

Axpo owes society a big duty of responsibility as far as nuclear safety is concerned. Safety is the top priority in all nuclear facilities operated by Axpo! It is all about protecting the general public and the environment, as well as our workforce. Axpo's stated objective is to take proactive steps to implement safety standards and to make ongoing improvements to them.

Axpo has formulated a nuclear safety charter to underline the great importance of nuclear safety and of radiation protection. According to this, we agree to take responsibility for measures, thereby maintaining a process of continuous improvement. Needless to say, the starting point is strict compliance with statutory requirements. The principles of organization and action defined in the charter are based on global best practice standards. Axpo also demands that its suppliers and subcontractors fulfill these stringent requirements in terms of nuclear safety, radiation protection and health & safety.

Safety comes first – that is one of the many guiding principles that we have to abide by in our day-to-day work. The aim of the charter in which organization and action-related principles are formulated is to enable all our employees to realize where their responsibilities lie and to fulfill their duties in terms of safety.
