2007/2008 financial year

The last financial year, which ran from 1 October 2007 to 30 September 2008, was very successful for Axpo Naturstrom. The volume of Naturstrom electricity used in this financial year was almost 96 gigawatt hours (GWh), up over 10% from the previous year's figure of around 87 GWh.

Doubling the growth of Naturstrom Blue electricity

Naturstrom Blue recorded growth of 20.7%, twice as much as the previous year, and Naturstrom Sky performed almost as well, with growth of 16.7%.

14'059 homes are now powered by electricity from renewable sources, up 758 on the previous year. 26 companies buy Axpo Naturstrom electricity. 78% of the electricity was generated in large hydroelectric power stations, and 17% in small hydroelectric power stations. 4% of the energy comes from biomass plants, and 1% comes from solar power plants.

Axpo Group profits are down substantially for the 2010/11 financial year (as per 30.9.2011). Operating profit (EBIT) of CHF 139 million and consolidated net profit of CHF 45 million were significantly below the figures for the previous year of CHF 538 million and CHF 409 million respectively.
