Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) is a transmission standard for voice and data in non-public wireless networks. It is based on the "ETSI EN 300 113" standard of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). DMR solutions are ideally suited for professional and high-performance mobile radio solutions and offer a high level of investment protection. Even complex company radio networks can thus be implemented profitably and efficiently. A wide range of performance features guarantee flexible adaptability of the radio system.
Digital private mobile radio offers excellent voice quality, a long range and long battery life. Modern DMR solutions are particularly suitable for safety-critical applications. These can be extended with additional functions such as image or data transmission, voice recording, sole work protection, dead man's equipment or positioning solutions. DMR can also be used as a basis for IoT and M2M applications.
Axpo WZ-Systems has many years of experience in planning, implementing, operating and maintaining modern DMR radio networks. Axpo WZ-Systems has a broad technology and product portfolio as well as the necessary know-how to meet the various customer requirements.
Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) is based on TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) and uses two time slots at 12.5 kHz channel width. The following figure shows the transmission method schematically:
