Soccer has made the Axpo brand great. We have specifically developed our commitment and now promote women's soccer as well as programmes for young soccer enthusisasts. Together with our partner PluSport, we have set up soccer teams and tournament cups for the disabled. As in all our business activities, we focus on long-term commitments with our partners.
Soccer offers unique, emotional experiences and brings people together. High motivation, teamwork and reliability – these are all values that we live and promote at Axpo. That's why we're full of energy to support today's and tomorrow's stars.
Stars motivate kids and act as their role models. That's why Axpo sponsors top-level soccer clubs: FC Basel in the Super League, BSC Young Boys and FC Zurich in the Super League and FC Aarau in the Challenge League.
Axpo has been supporting the women of FC Zurich for many years. The most successful women's team in Switzerland's top league has repeatedly achieved great results in the UEFA Women's Champions League on international terrain.
Axpo is one of the main sponsors of FC Baden (1st League), a model training club that has already brought out stars like Diego Benaglio, Mladen Petric or Vedad Ibisevic and many more. We are the title sponsor of the 'Axpo Aargauer Fussballcup' for amateur teams in the Aargau Soccer Association (AFV) .

Axpo is passionate about disabled sports. We found the ideal partner over ten years ago when we joined forces with PluSport, the umbrella organisation for Swiss disabled sports.
In 2020 the PluSport Day takes place for the 59th time. Axpo is the main sponsor of this unique event, which brings together some 1000 disabled athletes from all over Switzerland in Magglingen every year.
Axpo has been holding the 'Axpo Kids & Family Day' on PluSport Day in Magglingen since 2007, with a special course for disabled and non-disabled sports fans. Around 50 Axpo volunteers support this event every year free of charge and provide athletes with unforgettable experiences.
Axpo and PluSport have been continuously establishing new Axpo PluSport teams for several years. The teams train weekly and are supervised and coached by PluSport. Axpo provides the equipment and financial support.
Today, 12 Axpo teams hold seven tournaments and one final in Magglingen. These new soccer teams are made up of existing PluSport sports groups and teams from institutions for the disabled.
Axpo and PluSport have achieved their goal to establish an integrative platform for regular tournaments for soccer enthusiasts with disabilities.
