Axporama is Axpo's visitor centre of Axpo in Böttstein AG where you can experience the world of electricity and gain an insight into environmental and energy issues.

The Visitor Centre is open to visitors from Monday to Friday from 10.00 to 17.00 hrs without prior appointment. Group tours (from 2 to 30 people) of the Axporama are also possible on weekdays, even at off-peak times, by appointment. Please call us or send us an e-mail.

Guided tours of the Beznau nuclear and hydroelectric power plants are not available until further notice. 

Destination for all

Axporama is an attractive destination for an excursion with your school class or students, club or employees. After a tour of Axporama, you can also visit the Beznau hydroelectric power station, the Beznau nuclear power station or the Würenlingen interim storage facility.

Get to know electricity production

The exhibition focuses on current and future power supply. The advantages and disadvantages of the various types of electricity production are clearly ullustrated. 

Understanding energy

The exhibition "Living with Energy" is intended for those interested in gaining a better understanding of the world of energy. Axporama sees itself as a dialogue platform for everyone. Our interactive exhibits in combination with attractively presented information and facts make for learning-filled tours.

Learning is fun

This awaits you: Exciting insights into the energy world, clear answers to tricky questions and scientific experiments to try out. Axporama imparts knowledge and invites discussion in a playful way in an unusual environment. Our visitor guides will accompany you and answer your questions through the entire exhibition.

Public guided tours and groups

A guided tour of Axporama is free of charge and lasts 1.5 hours. Guided tours of Axporama are available for groups of eight or more.

We are pleased to tailor our guided tours for your group – please contact us. We would also be happy to advise you on how you can combine your visit to Axporama with a visit to the hydroelectric power station, the nuclear power station or the interim storage facility.

Individuals or groups of less than eight people can sign up for the public guided tours. 

Seminar room with power

Would you like to hold a seminar or event at Axporama? In combination with an interesting, relaxing visit to Axporama, companies and associations have the opportunity to use the «Auditorium» seminar room and its infrastructure.

Depending on the seating, there is room for 20 to 65 people. Please contact us well in advance.

Update Coronavirus

The Axporama Visitor Centre is open to visitors again, subject to compliance with FOPH requirements and with a protection concept. Guided tours of the nuclear power plant and hydroelectric power station on Beznau Island and the Würenlingen interim storage facility will not be taking place until further notice.
