The IT service provider Avectris, a subsidiary of Axpo, EKZ and AEW, has a new owner: Effective immediately, GIA Informatik AG, with headquarters in Oftringen, will take over the IT company which concentrates on the Swiss SME market.

In recent months, Axpo, EKZ and AEW examined various strategic options for the successful development of their IT subsidiary Avectris. The company, which achieved its best result since its founding in financial year 2019/20, will now have new opportunities for further growth.

An agreement for the sale of Avectris was reached with GIA Informatik AG. GIA Informatik AG, a fully owned subsidiary of GRAPHA-Holding based in Hergiswil, currently employs about 135 people. The company operates two data centres and specialises in the development and operation of solutions in the areas of ERP (SAP partner), IT services with own cloud infrastructure, and product development on the Swiss SME market.

The transaction was finalised today. The parties have agreed not to disclose details regarding the sales price.
