KLL increased production

17.03.2020 – The shareholders of Kraftwerke Linth-Limmern AG (KLL) have approved the 2018/19 annual financial statements and resolved to pay a dividend of CHF 1.75 million.

KLL has generated significantly more electricity in the 2018/19 financial year. The Muttsee, Limmern, Hintersand and Tierfehd power plant stages produced a total of 1523 GWh (previous year: 1418 GWh). The annual costs charged to the partners increased by around 1.8% and amounted to CHF 164.9 million. At the Limmern pumped storage plant, various warranty-related tasks were carried out during the year. According to current scheduling, the work will be completed by the end of 2022.

 

6600 visitors and a successful passenger cable car

The facilities of the Limmern pumped storage plant are popular with visitors. A good 6600 people visited the plant during the year. In June 2019, the new passenger cable car from Tierfehd to Kalktrittli started operation. For this purpose, the supporting columns and concrete structures of the construction cable car were converted and adapted for passenger operation. From the start of operations until the end of the year under review, 6800 tickets were sold.

 

New member of the Board of Directors

At the Annual General Meeting, the shareholders approved the annual financial statements of KLL and approved the payment of a dividend of CHF 1.75 million. The shareholders elected Michael Schärli as a new member of the Board of Directors to replace Jürg Wädensweiler, who resigned. The existing members of the Board of Directors - Kaspar Becker, Andrea Bettiga, Guy Bühler, Jörg Huwyler and Hans-Peter Zehnder - were confirmed in their positions.

Kraftwerke Linth-Limmern AG (KLL), based in Glarus Süd, is a partner company of the Canton of Glarus and Axpo Power AG. The Canton of Glarus holds 15% of the share capital and Axpo 85%.
