Axpo Group

Axpo Holding AG carries the strategic responsibility for the Axpo Group and ensures a future-oriented focus. Axpo Holding AG was founded in 2001 with headquarters in Baden. The Axpo Group comprises Axpo Holding AG and its subsidiaries.

Business Area Generation & Distribution

The Generation & Distribution business area operates the power plant park (nuclear energy, hydropower, gas, new energies) as well as the Axpo distribution grids. In addition, this area is responsible for the continuous optimisation of the power plant portfolio and targeted investments in new power plant and grid capacities.

Business Area Trading & Sales

The Trading & Sales business area with its international subsidiaries is active in energy trading. This area trades physical energy volumes and energy-related financial products on all the important European energy markets. As a leading, independent provider of origination services, Trading & Sales develops tailored products and energy solutions for its customers – including private consumers, SME’s, major industrial clients, as well as electricity producers, particularly in renewable energies.

Group functions

The Group functions of Axpo Services AG combine central management and service functions for the Group. This area comprises the duties of the CEO, CFO and COO.

CKW

The CKW Group is the leading energy services provider in Central Switzerland. The Group comprises seven companies: CKW AG, Elektrizitätswerk Schwyz AG, Steiner Energie AG, CKW Gebäudetechnik AG, CKW Fiber Services AG and SicuroCentral AG with their respective subsidiaries. They provide comprehensive services along the entire value chain – from the turbine to the electrical outlet, for private individuals, companies and public authorities. CKW is a subsidiary of the Axpo Group.
