21.04.2026 – Axpo is pleased to announce that effective 16 April 2026, it has become an associate member of the Japan Climate Leaders’ Partnership (JCLP) ― RE 100’s local partner in Japan ― a coalition of companies committed to achieving a sustainable decarbonised society.
In brief:
The JCLP is a coalition of Japanese companies which share the firm belief that economic prosperity and sustainability are complementary. As of April 2026, the partnership has 231 member organisations, representing leading Japanese corporations from diverse industries.
JCLP's principles, policies and activities correspond with Axpo's own vision of enabling a sustainable future through innovative energy solutions. As a leading energy company, Axpo is committed to making a significant contribution to the energy transition and the security of supply while operating as sustainably as possible.
In line with the Paris Agreement, by 2030 Axpo aims to reduce CO2 emissions from electricity consumption, transmission and the operation of its administrative buildings and vehicle fleet to zero. Emissions within Axpo’s direct sphere of influence are to be decarbonised by 2040. By 2050, Axpo aims to achieve net-zero emissions across its entire value chain.
