04.10.2018 | Christian Giezendanner knows why composting makes sense

For a good climate footprint

The hot summer dried out our gardens and now at the beginning of autumn flowers have faded and leaves are turning. Axpo Mobile Services goes after this organic waste. Among other things, Mobile Services provides towns with support for their composting operations. Christian Giezendanner explains how that works.

Axpo Mobile Services goes after bushes, branches or organic waste containing wood products and little energy. The six Mobile Services employees are en route to composting sites all over Switzerland. They are on the road with a lorry, a loader, a Smart car and a trailer with shredding, processing and sifting equipment. Their mission: Processing green waste, adding oxygen, sifting compost and returning this high-quality material to nature.

Christian Giezendanner, Head of Axpo Mobile Serives, explains the tasks of his team and why composting makes sense.
