Just eight days away: E-World in Essen, Germany is about to start. Read about why Axpo has been present with a stand at this exhibitions for years and what you should know about the largest energy fair in Europe.

Who is who in the energy business will meet again this year at E-world in Essen. Companies from over 70 countries exhibit at the fair and offer visitors the ideal platform to share the latest market developments. At the conference held in parallel to the exhibition, experts from politics, business and science will discuss the latest topics concerning the industry. This year these include intelligent networking, decarbonisation, as well as market developments and their impacts on portfolio management. 

Essential for Axpo

For years the fair has been an important place to get into dialogue with customers. Deals are made, contract signed and agreements renewed at E-world. Nearly 100 Axpo representatives will travel to the Ruhr region, the majority originators from over 20 European subsidiaries. At E-world they have all the most important players at one location to meet for discussions and make deals. They bring the know-how from their respective markets – Axpo is present in over 28 countries and active in 39 markets – and offers its customers tailored solutions for marketing and procuring power, gas and energy certificates. The focus of this year's fair is Axpo's international business. PPAs, renewable energies, certificates of origin and longterm deliveries.

Green PPAs – an important business

The focus of discussions and deals at E-world will revolve around business with renewable energies. More than in others years, green PPAs, purchase agreements for green electricity at a fixed price and for a defined period, will be on the agenda. Green PPAs guarantee a company that the energy comes from renewable sources. Axpo is an expert in this field and can offer customers services based on long-standing experience.  

Today, Axpo already markets an installed capacity of approx. 14000 MWs for its customers via its subsidiaries in the individual countries. Axpo is one of the leading marketers of renewable energies from customer plants in Europe.

The Axpo colleagues attending E-world can count on: 

  • Caffeine to maintain stamina Some 800 cups of coffee will be served
  • Refreshments: Approx. 400 energizers are in the fridge
  • Good service: A barkeeper and four waitpersons are ready to get to work
  • Comfortable space: Approx. 100m2 of space on two floors is available for customer meetings.
  • Over 120 customer meetings are on the agenda during the three days of the fair.
