The ground-mounted system is to be built in Tujetsch in the Grisons, above the Lai da Nalps reservoir, and will cover an area of around eight hectares of alpine pastureland.
The project is supported by the Tujetsch municipal council. Martin Cavegn, president of the municipality of Tujetsch, is pleased about the economic impulse for his municipality. "According to the feasibility study, the location of the alpine solar plant right next to the Nalps reservoir is ideal. On the one hand, the project creates local added value in our municipality, but on the other hand, we can also make a contribution to the expansion of renewable energies, especially in the winter months."
The "NalpSolar" project is important for the municipality and should be supported for the following reasons:
The municipality of Tujetsch is thus making its contribution to a security of supply and is probably the first energy village in Switzerland with hydropower and solar power on this scale.
