19.03.2019 | Axpo employees from all over the world celebrate the title as the best power trader in the world

Because I’m happy

Once again, Axpo received very good ratings from its customers and business partners in the "Risk" and "Energy Risk" surveys. A video with jubilant scenes from various Axpo locations shows just how delighted they are to have been so successful.

Axpo remains at the top of the podium: According to the survey conducted by the trade magazines "Risk" and "Energy Risk", the company is once again the world's No. 1 power trader this year. As in 2018, Axpo also ranks first in the UK, Belgium, Northern Europe and Italy. In the Apennines, Axpo is also the first address for gas trading. In addition, there are numerous other top placings in various countries: In power trading, Axpo ranks second in Germany, France and Eastern Europe, and is number 2 in the UK and number 3 in Germany and France. In addition, the company was ranked sixth among globally active commodity traders trading in oil, gas, electricity, fuels, coal, iron ore, metals and emission certificates.

What makes the award particularly valuable is the fact that it comes from Axpo's customers and business partners. As every year, they were asked to evaluate the work of Axpo's energy trading experts in the individual markets.

In a video, you can see how delighted Axpo employees at the numerous locations in Europe and the US are with the great awards:

About the Energy Risk Rankings

Every year, the trade magazines "Risk" and "Energy Risk" ask some 1,500 market players and customers to assess counter-parties in energy trading according to criteria such as price, flexibility, market-making, reliability, integrity and processing speed. Over the past years, Axpo has regularly figured among the top ranks in the individual categories.
