10.07.2018 | The Axpo Kids & Family Day 2018

Together full of energy

The "Axpo Kids & Family Day" took place for the 11th time as part of the PluSport Day in Magglingen. Here are the best moments on video!

The PluSport Day is the annual highlight in Swiss disabled sports. Axpo has supported this event for 11 years with its own "Axpo Kids & Family Day". Here, people with and without disabilities can participate in six workshops that are all about the subject of the ball. Brave people can also test the bungee trampoline or try their luck at the Axpo Wheel of Fortune.

Axpo and PluSport are hosting the popular football tournament on the adjoining field. Teams from all over Switzerland – Axpo PluSport football teams – compete in various categories.

A rollercoaster of emotions

Sport, pure emotions. Everyone is giving their best. In the end, however, it doesn't matter whether one wins or loses on the sports field: The real winners are those who are still able to smile after the games. Check out the winners and the best moments of "Axpo Kids & Family Day":

Fun for all

"Axpo Kids & Family Day" cannot take place without the volunteers from Axpo and their companions. 40 volunteers stood at the site from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and supported the participants in the individual workshops. Often the helpers turned into real fans and cheered for the participants.

Commitment is intensified

"Our commitment comes from the heart," says Andrew Walo proudly, who has been a volunteer in Magglingen for years. "As a company, we also have a shared responsibility to contribute to social cohesion and solidarity," Walo continues. Axpo will strengthen its commitment to PluSport Day and will now be the main sponsor of Switzerland's biggest disability sports festival.

CEO Andrew Walo has been a volunteer for many years.

When data shows where equality is stalling

The energy sector is struggling with an old problem: too few women in leadership positions. But how much change is needed to achieve true equality?
