The energy market is constantly evolving. Axpo has been part of this transformation for 25 years – with a clear vision of ensuring a sustainable future through innovative energy solutions.
We thank our customers and partners who have been co-creating this story with us for years, as well as those who are joining it today. This anniversary is not only a time for reflection, but also an inspiration for continued growth – towards solutions that support the economy and the creation of a sustainable energy system.
Since the beginning of the 21st century, we have been co‑shaping the Polish energy market. Today, we are one of the largest independent energy suppliers and off‑takers of renewable energy in Poland. We supply electricity and gas to tens of thousands of companies. Supporting the country’s energy transition, we deliver large‑scale photovoltaic projects and develop energy storage facilities and biogas plants. At the beginning of 2026, our portfolio was expanded with a combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) plant in Nowa Sarzyna.
As part of the Axpo Group – Switzerland’s largest energy producer and an international leader in energy trading as well as solar and wind power off‑take – we combine international experience with local expertise and a responsible approach to the energy transition.
Proven strategies, strong financial standing, long‑term partnerships, and a consistent focus on meeting customer needs.
A team of experienced specialists and know‑how built over years of activity in international energy markets.
A comprehensive offer for businesses, development of energy storage, biogas plants and PV projects, as well as our own CCGT plant.
We create solutions tailored to the needs of various industries – from small service companies to large industrial enterprises – supporting customers in building efficient and sustainable business models.
And this remains unchanged. All micro, small and medium‑sized companies among Axpo’s customers are guaranteed that the energy they use is fully covered by guarantees of origin or other certificates confirming that it was generated from renewable sources.
We guarantee full coverage of total energy consumption with guarantees of origin or other certificates confirming the generation of energy from renewable sources. These certificates come from various markets and include guarantees of origin or other equivalent certificates recognized by law or international organizations. Axpo undertakes to redeem these certificates in relation to the entire volume of energy sold to end customers.
Detailed information on the fuel mix and other primary energy carriers used to generate the electricity sold by Axpo can be found here.
A sustainable energy transition is one of Axpo’s key development priorities. We believe its effectiveness is built on cooperation among all market participants.
As one of the largest independent off‑takers of renewable energy in Poland, we actively deliver projects that support the growth of renewables. We signed the first cPPA and PPA contracts on the Polish market, and today we off‑take energy from every fifth wind farm and almost every tenth photovoltaic installation in the country. We were also the first in Poland to conclude contracts for the optimisation of energy storage systems (BESS).
Axpo Polska is above all about people – their knowledge, experience and commitment. Thanks to them, for 25 years we have been building lasting relationships with customers and partners and creating energy solutions that respond to the needs of a changing world.
We work with nearly 40 Authorized Partners who support us in the sale of electricity and gas to SME customers across Poland. At the same time, we deliver projects that support the development of renewable energy, cooperating with energy producers, developers and investors.
We see our role as broader than individual projects alone. We actively participate in knowledge exchange within numerous associations and institutions. We are also committed to educating future generations of energy professionals, including as a long‑standing partner of the Energy Leaders Academy of the Lesław A. Paga Foundation.
