Axpo signs solar PPA with ib vogt in Poland

16.10.2025: Axpo Polska has signed a PPA to purchase energy from four utility-scale photovoltaic farms owned by solar developer ib vogt in Poland, it was announced today. This is the first collaboration between the companies, further strengthening Axpo's position as a leading purchaser of energy from renewable sources in Poland.

Under the agreement, Axpo will buy electricity produced by four ib vogt solar farms with a total installed capacity of 135 MW. Located near the city of Zamość in southeastern Poland, they generate approximately 150 GWh of green energy a year.

A key challenge in implementing the agreement was the appropriate allocation of risks associated with the photovoltaic profile and the need for its rapid implementation. The decisive factor in choosing Axpo was the company’s flexible approach to partner’s needs.

Axpo Polska Managing Director Mateusz Marczewski commented: “We are excited to begin our first partnership with ib vogt, a leading photovoltaic project developer. Thanks to our flexible approach and years of experience delivering power purchase agreements, we were able to quickly adapt to our client's needs and provide the optimal solution.”

With a strong global presence, ib vogt specialises in designing, developing, financing and operating photovoltaic systems. For Axpo in Poland, this latest agreement is in line with its strategy of systematically expanding the company’s portfolio of PPA agreements with renewable energy producers, and strengthening its position as a leading purchaser of green energy in Poland.
