Axpo is a partner of Zwilag Zwischenlager Würenlingen AG. The purpose of the company is the operation of disposal facilities and the provision of interim storage capacities for radioactive waste in Würenlingen. Guided tours of the central interim storage facility are carried out by the Axporama team.
A guided tour of the Würenlingen interim storage facility is free of charge and lasts 2 hours. Guided tours are available for groups of eight or more. The minimum age for participation is 12 years.
We are happy to tailor our guided tours to your group – please contact us. We will also be happy to advise you on how you can combine your visit to the Würenlingen interim storage facility with a visit to Axporama. The maximum number of participants is 20 per guided tour.
Individuals or groups of less than eight people can sign up for the public guided tours.
Due to the current situation, there will be no guided tours of the nuclear power plant and the hydroelectric power plant on Beznau Island or the Würenlingen interim storage facility until further notice, and the Axporama Visitor Center will remain temporarily closed. However, we do accept bookings by telephone for dates starting in May, but you are welcome to book online. We reserve the right to cancel bookings again, depending on how the situation develops.

The collected data is required to process your registration for a power plant tour. The basis for data processing is the fulfilment of the contract and safeguarding our legitimate interests. After the tour, the data is automatically deleted from our visitor centre system.
