CKW Fiber Services AG becomes part of Axpo Systems AG

16.06.2025 – On 13 June 2025, Axpo Systems AG acquired 100% of the shares in CKW Fiber Services AG from CKW AG in an intra-group transaction. The acquisition will enable important synergies to be realised in the Axpo Group's connectivity services offering and services for customers to be expanded and further developed.

CKW Fiber Services AG is a leading operator of its own fibre optic networks and the largest provider of IT infrastructure and housing space in its own data centres and collocation centres in Central Switzerland. The company has pursued a growth strategy in recent years and will reach a milestone in its history with the commissioning of the Rotkreuz data centre at the end of 2022.

Axpo Systems AG specialises in the engineering, implementation and 24/7 operation of high-quality, crisis-proof communication solutions and is a leading integration partner for many system-relevant organisations in Switzerland. The company is headquartered in Lupfig and has around 140 employees at five locations throughout Switzerland.

The acquisition by Axpo Systems AG will enable further synergies to be realised in the Axpo Group's connectivity offering and the expansion and further development of services for customers. The location in Emmen / LU and the 15 jobs at CKW Fiber Services AG will be retained.
