The shareholders of Kraftwerke Linth-Limmern AG (KLL) approved the annual financial statements for the 2020/21 financial year at the General Meeting held in Glarus. Viktor Lir was elected to the Board of Directors as Guy Bühler’s successor.
In the 2020/21 financial year, KLL’s Muttsee, Limmern, Hintersand and Tierfehd power plants produced 1.62 billion kilowatt hours of electricity. This puts annual production slightly down on the previous year (1.75 billion kWh). The annual costs borne by the partners fell year-on-year by around 4% to CHF 177.3 million. The General Meeting decided to pay out a dividend of CHF 1.75 million.
Outstanding recultivation
The Swiss Association for Soil Bioengineering awarded the Limmern pumped storage plant the “Begrünerpreis 2021“ for its successful recultivation of the high Alpine construction site. The award was presented in late August 2021 in Tierfehd.
Over 2,400 visitors toured the pumped storage plant in Limmern in the year under review (previous year: 3,200 people). No tours were held between November 2020 and June 2021 due to the pandemic.

The General Meeting confirmed that the current members of the Board of Directors (Kaspar Becker, Andrea Bettiga, Jörg Huwyler, Michael Schärli and Hans-Peter Zehnder) would remain in office and elected Viktor Lir as the successor to Guy Bühler, who has resigned.
